Publishing for Payers: Behind the Scenes with a Managed Care Journal Editor & Communications Expert

Thank you

Managed care decision makers are a key audience for scientific publications. But what resonates with payers? What kind of medical research are they interested in? How do they like to receive information? What tools and journals are payers using or reading?

In this session, the faculty will take the mystery out of publishing for managed care decision makers, and discuss trends in managed care relevant to publication professionals, including educational opportunities through ISMPP’s partnership with the University of Florida.

At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Explain skills needed to produce effective communications for payers
  • Identify common managed care pharmacy communication tools (Hint: PIE is not something you eat at Thanksgiving)
  • Describe publication strategies to make your manuscript resonate with payers

Approved for 1 ISMPP CMPP certification credit. Please take a screenshot of the title slide.
