Thank you
Member Research Oral Presentations from the 2023 European Meeting of ISMPP, Fueling Creativity. Creativity involves the generation, exploration, and interpretation of novel and valuable ideas, and spans a wide variety of areas. While creativity can be more commonly associated with the arts, creative approaches can be utilized in our industry to lead to novel ways of thinking about problems and for advancing the scientific and medical field. Our meeting theme explored the science of creativity and its application in problem solving and innovation in medical publications and communications.
Join us for a series of research presentations featuring the Oral Presentations from the recent European Meeting. Pertinent topics will be featured – Artificial intelligence in the development of lay summaries, insights on equity and accessibility of conference presentations, and adverse event reporting in industry-sponsored primary clinical trial articles.
At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Understand the potential for applying large language models in the development of clinical trial lay summaries
- Understand the broad range of accessibility needs affecting some conference attendees as well as the preferred formats and suggested changes that can create a more equitable conference experience
- Be familiar with the MPIP recommendations for adverse event reporting in industry sponsored research, specifically in abstracts
- Understand the importance of objective reporting of adverse event data in abstracts of clinical trial data
