AP ISMPP U - Using AI for Medical Publications in the Asia-Pacific Region

Thank you

This webinar was developed by the ISMPP Asia Pacific Education Committee. Conversations around AI have taken center-stage, particularly since the roll out of ChatGPT. In addition to generative AI systems such as ChatGPT, there are numerous other AI tools that can help researchers/authors and medical writers (and the medical publications community at large) with different aspects of the publication process. The first part of the webinar will highlight some of the key ways in which AI is helping transform the development of publications, with a focus on applications relevant to the Asia Pacific region. The second part of the webinar will describe some of the guidelines and recommendations that have been developed around the use of AI in medical publications, with a publisher’s perspective on the current adoption of AI tools. This webinar seeks to provide guidance on how the industry can embrace this transformative technology to drive growth and efficiency in a compliant and ethical manner.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this session attendees will:

  • Identify the applications of AI in medical publications, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region
  • Understand the limitations of AI tools and how to navigate these challenges
  • Be familiar with the current guidelines and recommendations concerning the use of AI in medical publications
