This fourth lecture is focused on the Intersection Design & Operation of Protected Bikeways. The Intersection Design & Operation lecture will include approaches for intersection controls and signals, design and operational requirements of protected intersections, conflict marking strategies, sight lines requirements, signal detection methods, and approaches to designing minor and major intersections (e.g., suburban or residential areas).
