Douglas Noble has more than 30 years of progressive experience in project development, financial management and administration in the transportation engineering field with emphasis in organizational development and change management. As a former city traffic engineer he has personal expertise with the challenges and risks associated with resource availability, asset management and workforce development in constrained organizational environments. He has extensive experience in the planning, creation and implementation of professional development through ITE’s webinars, workshops and professional conferences. He has specific expertise in traffic engineering, traffic signal program management, transportation operations, street/rail design, grade crossing safety and operational analysis, urban street design, planned special events, and neighborhood traffic management. In addition, Mr. Noble has been a Council member and planning commission in local government as well as serving on a number of NCHRP panels on subjects of traffic signals and TSMO. He holds B.S.C.E. from Purdue University and M.S.E. in Transportation Systems from the University of Texas at Austin
Steven Jewell, P.E., PTOE is a retired traffic engineering subject matter expert. Over the course of his career he served as Traffic and Planning Manager for DLZ Ohio for more than 16 years, and spent 30 years with the City of Columbus, Ohio Traffic Engineering and Parking Division. He holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (transportation) and an M.A. degree in Public Administration, both from Ohio State University. He is a Life member of ITE. Steve also currently serves as chair of the ITE delegation to the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control devices.
