Educating Elected Officials: How to impart knowledge to decision makers

As the professional voice of the transportation industry ITE members are encouraged to develop relationships with key decision makers to ensure that our voice is heard. This webinar will discuss the various efforts of the advocacy committee to foster such activity as well as focusing on the experiences of, Neil C Parrott, PE, PTOE, who is both an ITE member as well as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. Examples of what the average ITE member can do to educate elected officials to sound transportation policy will be explored.

  • Empower the membership to be the professional voice of the of the transportation industry;
  • Learn firsthand experience of what influences elected officials in policy decisions from a transportation engineer who is both and ITE member and a legislator; and
  • Understand what ITE members can do to educate elected officials to sound transportation policy.

How to earn PDH/CM Credit:
The certificate of completion and 1.5 PDH/CM credits will be made available to the registrant after you have attended the webinar and the evaluation has been completed.

Recordings are available for 30 days following the day of the live event for anyone who registers for the course. Additional attendees at one location are not eligible to earn PDH credit for viewing an archived recording.
