Webinar Description:
This webinar is a compilation of three presentations to highlight and celebrate National Roundabouts Week 2023!
The first presentation is an overview of the newest Roundabout Design Guide, NCHRP 1043.One of the leading contributors to the design guide will be providing a thorough review of what is new in the for all planners, engineers and practitioners to be aware of.
The second presentation is from the Roundabout Capital of the US, Carmel, Indiana. The ITE Roundabout Committee solicited applications for safe system approach roundabout projects this summer and selected the Main Street Corridor project in the City of Carmel as the winner of this summers contest. The designers and City team will present their project.
And finally, the author of the first children's book on roundabouts, Ronda Loves Roundabouts, will present a brief summary on his book sharing and how it came to be.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize, describe and recall the newest aspects of the NCHRP 1043 roundabout design guide and apply those techniques in practice.
- Apply the FHWA's Safe System Approach to roundabout planning and design and implementation from the City of Carmel.
- Identify the benefits of teaching children about roundabouts and how this is a resourceful STEM resource for K-12.

PDH/CM Credit Certificate: If you would like PDH Credit for this webinar, there is a processing fee for each registrant of $20 regardless of membership status to receive 1.5 PDH/CM credits certificate.
Instructions and link will be provided at the conclusion of the live event. For the on-demand recording, instructions will be provided on this course page on how to purchase the evaluation to complete and receive the PDH credit certificate. Participants are able to purchase and retrieve their certificate until their access to the content expires. After the content expires the certificate opportunity is forfeited.

All registrants will have access to the recording for 30 days once it is posted. Additional attendees at one location are not eligible to earn PDH credit for viewing an archived recording.

Policies:
