Webinar Description:

The webinar presents the key elements ITE Parking Generation Manual (PGM), 6th Edition. Topics covered include the introduction of new and updated land use codes and subcategories, additional analysis capabilities (e.g., average rate, fitted curve and 85th percentile), updated time of day distributions and parking supply ratios. The webinar also provides a live demonstration of the ITEParkGen web app with several new enhancements that enables the analyst access to the full ITE Parking database for specialized analysis.

Learning Objectives:
  • Become familiar with all elements of the Parking Generation Manual, 6th Edition, including the PGM land use descriptions, data plots, parking supply information, time-of-day distribution data, and urban/suburban setting options
  • Understand use of the ITEParkGen web app to replicate PGM data plots and statistics
  • Understand use of the ITEParkGen web app to filter data by age of data, region, and size of independent variable

Policies: Participants are able to purchase and retrieve their PDH credit certificate until their access to the content expires. After the content expires and goes into archive, the PDH credit certificate opportunity is forfeited.

    Kevin Hooper is under contract with ITE to manage Strategic Projects. He led the development and release of Trip Generation Manual, 11th Edition; Parking Generation Manual, 6th Edition; and the Trip Generation Manual 10th Edition Supplement. As a consultant in his home state of Maine, he maintains the Portland Region travel demand model and recently developed a statewide model.

  • Lisa Fontana-Tierney, Traffic Engineering Senior Director, Institute of Transportation Engineers, Washington, DC

    Lisa Fontana Tierney received her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University and a Master’s of Science in Urban Systems Engineering from George Mason University. Lisa has been with the Institute of Transportation Engineers for over 25 years and is serving as the Traffic Engineering Senior Director. In her time with ITE she has been actively involved in the development and dissemination of several traffic engineering and safety resources including oversight of ITE’s Trip and Parking Generation resources.
