The Transportation Professional Certification Board has updated the Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) exam to insure that it covers the most current transportation planning practices. The practice of transportation planning includes new techniques like performance-based planning, and new data sources. While planners have considered the needs of all users, there is a greater focus on the role of active transportation, context sensitivity, and complete streets in developing transportation plans. Finally, planners must have the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and the public while understanding that public policies concerning sustainability, equity, and livability can be just as important as capital projects and programs in delivering a plan that meets the transportation needs of the community. To reflect these changes, the PTP Refresher Course has been updated to remain consistent with the exam contents.

The PTP Refresher Course provides an overview of topics, key references and independent study materials by topic for practicing planners who intend to take the PTP certification examination. The course includes a suite of six (6) 90-minute on-demand recordings on land use and transportation relationships, data and needs assessment for short- and long-range planning, planning analysis, transportation system evaluation, environmental analysis, and plan implementation.

Earn PDH Credit
Registrants receive 9 PDH Credits for the entire series.
The certificate of completion and credits will be made available after you have attended the webinar and the survey has been completed. We do not provide PDH credit to multiple attendees at one location for our on-demand offerings. Credits cannot be put towards a student's first PTP renewal period.

This PTP Refresher Course is current. ITE will announce any updates to courses when that information is available.

Policy: Upon date of purchase of this course you have 90 days to complete it. If you do not complete it in that time period you will need to repurchase the course.
