Steve Manhart is Traffic Engineering Manager - Minneapolis with over 35 years of traffic operations and transportation engineering and project management experience, including five years as Assistant Traffic Engineer for the City of Bloomington, Minnesota. He also served in increasingly important roles in his 6-1/2 years with the City of Olathe, KS, culminating as City Transportation Manager. He has worked with several engineering consulting firms throughout his career. He has served as Chair of the Planning Commissioner for the City of Burnsville, Minnesota. He has served as Midwestern District Director on the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) International Board of Direction representing the eleven-state Midwestern District. In 2017, Steve was named Distinguished Member of the North Central Section of ITE. Currently, Steve serves as an Organizational Director on the Transportation Professional Certification Board.
Steve is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) and a Road Safety Professional, Level 1 (RSP1). He is also a licensed professional engineer in twelve states.
