Law People USA, LLC was founded in 2010 in North Carolina. Professor Timothy J. Peterkin’s goal was to insure that his former students had access to practical and relevant information that they could use as they started to practice law. Professor Peterkin realized that there was an unfortunate, but necessary, gap between the theories that were taught in law school and the practical information that was needed to effectively practice law. As many of his students graduated from law school and began practicing law (often on their own), he grew concerned that they needed additional guidance. Professor Peterkin and other colleagues began hosting CLE courses in 2010. As the demand increased, more courses were offered.

Today, Law People USA, LLC offers introductory to advanced level CLE courses throughout the State of North Carolina. In 2012, a live streaming webinar feature was added and courses can be viewed from anywhere in the world. The subject matters cover many different areas of law and the presenters have diverse backgrounds, offering different perspectives and insights.
