Sports & Entertainment is such a broad area of practice that comprises many forms of legal issues. In this CLE, we will focus on labor and employment matter that surface frequently in the entertainment industry which involve the abuse of power as an employer by underpaying employees, misclassifying them and how certain statements and conduct can support discrimination/retaliation. We will also take a look into ways the entertainer may inadvertently give away interest (intellectually and otherwise) by failing to properly put employees on agreements that assign important rights of creation.
