Attorney Timothy Peterkin will discuss the NC citizens arrest/detention statute and cases. If the citizen does not have probable cause, is that person subject to civil or criminal liability for false imprisonment, assault, infliction of emotional distress claims, etc? We will compare the NC law to the Georgia law.
