Attorney Sheryl Friedrichs will describe where Collaborative Divorce fits in the spectrum of alternative dispute resolution processes, the history of Collaborative Divorce, the statutory framework in North Carolina, and the practical application of the process. She will describe how Collaborative Divorce is like and different from mediation. She will also review how an interdisciplinary team of Collaborative trained professionals can assist couples in crafting a customized settlement that comes as close as possible to meeting the needs of each family member as the family transitions into two households and provide information for obtaining Collaborative Divorce training.
