    Rob is Partner in the Retail and Business Banking practice and specializes in Payments. Rob has spent 20 years as a professional in payments working across the spectrum of industry players including banks, credit unions, acquirers and merchants.

This includes helping issuers and merchants develop better negotiated partnerships and refined cobrand value propositions for improved market performance. He’s also active in developing merchant payment strategies that increase customer loyalty while better managing overall payments costs.
    For banks and infrastructure companies he brings his depth of knowledge to help solve problems from overall strategy and market entry questions to specific and specialized needs like fraud tool selection and operational enhancements. He also frequently supports investors to develop overall investment approaches and specific company and market deep dives

  • Mathieu Barthelemy | Principal - Oliver Wyman

    Mathieu is a Principal in Oliver Wyman’s New York office with a focus on Payments and Retail and Business Banking. He has advised clients in the US and in Europe on payments-related topics.

    Mathieu works with merchants, banks and non-bank financial institutions on payment strategy, financial product launches, strategic partnerships, and emerging payments. He specializes on B2C and B2B payment products with emphasis on general purpose, cobrand, private label debit, prepaid, ACH, virtual cards and credit solutions.

    Mathieu holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
