MYC22 TF Virtual SIG: Customer Experience

Description

The ultimate networking session! Come join the most highly rated sessions of a MAG conference - this Tech Customer Experience merchant-only discussion group - led by merchant leaders - give you an opportunity in a no-pressure environment for an open and honest chat with your peers about what keeps you up at night.

We are excited to offer two different format options for SIG engagement at the Mid-Year Conference 2022:

  • Virtual: To participate in the Virtual SIG a few weeks ahead of the conference, please click the Register button to the right.
  • In-Person: Those traveling to Atlanta will have the opportunity to participate in a live SIG to be held on February 16 from 12:00-1:00pm EST. If you have already registered for the Mid-Year Conference, there is nothing else you need to do to participate in the in-person SIGs! If you haven't yet registered for the Conference, you can do so here.

  • Wes Sweet | Vice President Technology - Walmart

    Wes currently leads Walmart’s Transactional Systems that provide core technology to enable global market and partner teams in creating wonderful omni-channel customer experiences with speed and leverage. He is a 20-year Walmart technology veteran and has led teams in Merchandising, Store Systems, Ecommerce, and Point of Sale and Payment development for all Walmart markets. Wes has a degree in Information and Operations Management from Texas A&M.

  • Chinmay Gupta | Director of Application Development & BI - EG America

    Chinmay Gupta is an enthusiastic technology leader & strategist with diverse experience in leading development of Apps (web + mobile), integrating omni-channel retail systems & rollout of emerging technologies to solve business challenges. He’s passionate about how digital technology is transforming commerce, and the opportunities it brings globally to retail. He led development and launch of Cumberland Farms’ SmartPay™ App (US) and EG Club App (Australia). He currently spearheads Application development & BI teams at EG America. His high-performing team comprises of enterprise & full stack developers and BI professionals that deliver transformative digital solutions at startup speeds. When Covid-19 crisis hit the ever-resilient retail sector, his team developed a curbside offering on SmartPay™ App, a Covid screening app for team members and enhanced contactless payment offerings at EG America’s c-stores. He is a vocal champion of agile, open source enthusiast and is always focused on attracting, mentoring & learning from top talent. He enjoys running (summers), being an art docent (winters), makes time to hack on new software (weekends) and draw caricatures (week nights) with his spirited young boys. Chinmay holds a Bachelors from NIT Durgapur and an MBA from UMass Amherst.

  • Beth Costa | Partner - Oliver Wyman

    Beth Costa is a payments industry veteran with experience as both a payments consultant and an industry practitioner. She is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Payments Practice, and prior to joining Oliver Wyman; Beth served as Chief Product Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at MCX, a mobile commerce and payments company owned by major U.S. retailers. Beth specializes in providing a holistic payments view, evaluating opportunities and challenges from every angle – whether merchant or corporate, issuer, processor, network, or the consumer experience. She is an expert in payments and digital commerce solutions, including credit, debit, prepaid, ACH, e-commerce, m-commerce, loyalty and rewards. Beth holds an M.S. in Statistics and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, both from Carnegie Mellon University.
