Physician Wellness: Weathering the Perfect Storm: Dealing with Uncertainty and Loss

FREE | CME Available
Reverend Martin Luther King said, “We may have all come on different ships but we’re in the same boat now.” This is the perfect time to find some clear, calm waters in which to recover. We also need to surf inevitable big waves and how to glide into the shore instead of crashing on the rocks. Together, we will find some new solutions as we expand awareness of ourselves, current issues in medicine, and the world around us. We’ll also discover ways physicians can sink – and rise –as we chart safe courses through unpredictable circumstances. Most importantly, learning the five practices of physicians who are good at weathering storms and being fit will help light the way.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify current professional, societal, and personal issues that must be addressed to maintain good health for physicians and patients.
  • Employ effective ways to find calm and therefore give opportunities to think, plan, and make good decisions about patients' and personal challenges.
  • Identify an array of approaches to, and solutions for frustrating or troubling concerns about the care of patients and self.
  • Discover resources to enhance personal, patient’s and even the health care system’s health needs.
