MESA White Paper #54: Metrics Maturity Framework A Guide to Assessment and a Roadmap to Increased Performance

The MESA Metrics Maturity Model establishes a framework or system for the creation of manufacturing and related metrics. It allows organizations to assess their individual metrics, but more importantly it establishes assessment criteria for how effectively the organization communicates and uses metrics across the organization. It establishes 9 categories of metrics (including customer responsiveness, operational efficiency, and quality) and 5 levels of maturity for each category ranging from Innocence where metrics are established and used by individual supervisors to Information Leadership where metrics are highly integrated and used to define future strategies.
