OPC UA ISA-95 Companion Specification Webinar

This webcast about the new OPC UA specification (the OPC Foundation's Unified Architecture communication model) describes an OPC UA Information Model for the ISA-95 Enterprise /Control System standard. It maps the ISA-95 Information Model (resources models) into the OPC UA architecture. The OPC UA ISA-95 specification complements MESA's B2MML specification by providing high speed synchronous data exchanges from the lowest levels of the automation hierarchy (sensors and controllers) to the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The OPC UA ISA-95 specification complements MESA's B2MML (Business to Manufacturing Markup Language) based integration between MES and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The OPC UA ISA-95 specification also allows for high-speed information flow among the various MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) systems such as Production, Quality, Maintenance and Inventory systems.
