A KPI Standard to Improve Process Performance

The international standard, ISO 22400 - Key Performance Indicators for Manufacturing Operations Management, defines a set of 34 high value Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that are broadly applicable across the manufacturing sector. It also is planning to include elements relating to the use and assessment of KPIs such as, KPI-to-KPI relationships and dependencies, as well as KPI exchange and use. Proper implementation of the standard by ISO 22400 implementers will enable uniform KPI practice. This will improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effective operations, both within and outside the enterprise. For manufacturers and solution providers implementing ISO 22400, it does and will provide content enabling an effective KPI lifecycle.
