Description
Physicians, advanced health care professionals, and their
practices hurriedly implemented telehealth programs to meet pandemic demands
and are now treating patients through a combination of in-person and
telemedicine visits. As time and resources become available, physicians and
practices can strengthen the quality of their telehealth programs and mitigate
medical professional liability risk.
This webinar is intended for physicians,
advanced health care practitioners, and medical practices needing practical
information about scope of practice, informed consent, physical and mental
health status examinations, in-office versus virtual appointments, and
telediagnostic errors.
Objectives
- Relate new and revised telehealth legislation to your medical professional liability risk (MPL)
- Recognize MPL risks in your current telehealth program
- Apply at least one MPL risk management recommendation to your telehealth program
