158th ASM: Hey Doc, What Are the Best Supplements to Take?

158th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) Virtual Monthly Series:
Hey Doc, What Are the Best Supplements to Take?
Live Virtual - Zoom
Monday, April 24, 2023
6:00 - 8:00 PM EST

The supplement industry rivals the pharmaceutical industry in sales. With open access and less regulation, the way to health for patients and providers can be confusing, conflicting, and sometimes contradictory. Providers and patients are left without adequate resources to make decisions that are best practices.

After attending this presentation, leaners will be able to:
  • Understand what your patients are looking for when they ask to seek integrative or alternative medicine.
  • Identify common nutritional deficiencies that may complicate recovery.
  • Develop basic understanding of nutrition vs supplementation.
  • Develop a quick tool kit to address common questions.
Presenter:
Romana W. Wallace, DO, Associate Professor, WMED Homer Stryker M.S. School of Medicine
