Allergy and Asthma Updates

Description: Lead by Laura Howe, MD, and her team of colleagues, this course will feature discussions on chronic spontaneous urticaria and the new asthma management guidelines.
Objectives:

  1. Identify key features of chronic spontaneous urticaria.
  2. Discuss how to provide patient counseling and education about the disease process.
  3. Explain how to implement a step-wise approach to management of chronic spontaneous urticaria.
  4. Identify the past and current ways of classifying asthma.
  5. Discuss how to apply guideline changes in asthma diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment based on evidence and shared decision making.
  6. Describe the strengths and limitations of the new Asthma Management Guidelines.
