This course offers the evidence-based definition, causes, and consequences of burnout, as well as practical strategies to prevent or address it. It will provide practical strategies that support professional sustainability and clinician well-being. Clinicians often receive generalized advice regarding “self-care,” but may lack exposure to evidence-based approaches including boundary setting, recovery practices, peer support, and organizational interventions shown to reduce burnout risk. These strategies can improve clinicians’ ability to recognize burnout drivers and implement strategies that support professional performance and patient care quality.
