The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) is the generally recognized ethical and performance standards for the appraisal profession in the United States. USPAP is updated every two years so that appraisers have the information they need to deliver unbiased and thoughtful opinions of value. (*Due to the impact of COVID-19, The Appraisal Foundation has extended the effective date through 2023, but are still requiring a 7-hour update class to be completed every two years.)

Once compliant, personal property appraisers must take the 7-Hour Personal Property USPAP Update Course (or its equivalent) once every two calendar years. This is also a requirement to maintain your GPPA or MPPA designation.

Instructor:  Megan Mahn Miller, MPPA

Megan Mahn Miller is the Owner and President of Mahn Miller Collective, Inc., an appraisal and consulting firm specializing in Rock and Roll and Hollywood memorabilia. She is also a Senior Property Specialist with Julien’s Auctions, based in Los Angeles. Mahn Miller holds a Master Personal Property Appraiser (MPPA) designation from the National Auctioneer’s Association and a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Minnesota.

Your registration fee includes class materials fee. If the printed materials were requested prior to October 3, 2022 you will receive those via FedEx. If the printed version was not requested prior to the deadline, your materials are available for download through the link provided in your materials email from  education@auctioneers.org.
