Issues that Matter: NAA Advocacy and You!

Interstate sales and use tax, government assets, small business operations, real estate, and more – the NAA advocates for policies on behalf of members and for the adoption of the auction method of competitive bidding. And we need you to help execute the advocacy work of the NAA! In this session, NAA Advocacy Committee members will review the 2021-2022 agenda updating you on current progress with federal and state bills being followed. You’ll learn best practices for doing advocacy work and the critical role you, as NAA members, play.
Upon completing this session, you will be able to:
- Describe the NAA advocacy policy agenda for 2021-2022
- Identify pending or proposed legislation that may affect your business
- Explain the importance of your role in executing the advocacy work of the NAA
- Identify basic tools to get started in advocacy work
