Who is this training geared towards?
The Auction Team Training Program is designed for three particular audiences: 1) new auction team members who need introductory training in any given auction role, 2) current auction team members who want to expand their skillset to new auction roles or make a business of contracting out auction services, and 3) auction company owners who want to utilize this training as their company’s auction team onboarding program.

I have the new "Auction Team" Membership from NAA. How do I access the training program?
As an “Auction Team” member your membership benefit is unlimited access to the entire training program as long as your “Auction Team” Membership is active (annual membership dues are paid).

To access the program, you will login to The Auction Institute (using your NAA account credentials) and click the “Auction Team Training Programproduct bundle to access all the course within the training program.

What do I get with my “Auction Team” Membership?
Your subscription includes one year of unlimited access for you as a single user to all 25 courses (as available) within the training program and a Certificate of Completion upon completing each course within the program.

I have the new "Corporate" Membership from NAA. How do I use my points to get my company access to the training program?
As a “Corporate” Member your membership benefit includes a pool of points to use in purchasing memberships and/or education and training at a discount for anyone who is part of your "Corporate” Membership. There are two ways to get access to the Auction Team Training Program for your company.

Option 1: Use your points to purchase an “Auction Team” Membership for each team member in your company that you’d like to have access to the training program. See above questions related to “Auction Team” Membership access to the training program. See NAA Membership for benefits of each membership type.

Option 2: Use your points to purchase a Company Subscription. See questions below about what is included with a Company Subscription.

How do I register my company for the training program with a Company Subscription?
As long as you are an NAA member (other than an “Auction Team” member, see above), you can purchase a Company Subscription to the training program for the Early Access price of $3000/year. Simply complete this Subscription Form and within five business days of successful payment an NAA staff member will contact your identified “Team Manager” on the form for next steps.

What do I get with my Company Subscription?
Your subscription includes one year of unlimited access for an unlimited number of users within your company to all 25 courses (as available) within the training program and a Certificate of Completion for each user upon completing each course within the program.

Your Company Subscription also includes a “Team Manager” admin user who can enroll users, view user progress, and run reports, as well as a training program webpage specific to your company. Your company’s enrolled users will login using their NAA account credentials (NAA membership not required) to access the training courses through your company-specific training program webpage.

Can I customize the training program with my Company Subscription?
Your company-specific training program webpage is able to be customized with a few branding options, so it has a similar look and feel to your company brand. The content within the training program cannot be customized to your company policies or practices nor can it be customized to your preferred platforms. You will need to do your own company preference and policy training with your team members after completing the training program courses.

You are able to assign specific training courses to specific team members.

How long will I or my company have access to the training program?
Your subscription to the training program includes one year of access from your date of purchase. As Early Access subscribers, your initial subscription will be extended up to six additional months after all 25 courses are available.

Can I purchase individual training courses instead of the whole program?
At this time subscriptions are only available for the entire Auction Team Training Program as a whole. Individual training courses are not currently available for individual course subscriptions.

What do I get after completing each course?
Immediately upon completing each training course, each user will receive a downloadable Certificate of Completion indicating the course that was completed and the date of completion.

How proficient will I be in the auction team role after completing a course?
Auction Team Training Program courses are introductory and provide the basic concepts and nuances within the auction industry and profession. Upon completing a training course, you will need to work with the auction company to fill in company-specific preference and policy gaps. While the training courses do provide interactive activities to begin practicing the skill in a controlled, on-demand environment, most auction team roles will take additional practice and application in a real-life environment to become proficient in the skills required.

Can I still access a course and its resources after I complete it?
Yes, you will have unlimited access to all courses for the duration of your subscription, including courses you’ve already completed. This will allow you to go back and review resources and content or practice again the skills taught throughout each course.

How often will the courses be updated?
The courses within the training program will be routinely reviewed, evaluated, revised, and updated to ensure the content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant for the needs of auction professionals. Future updates may also include greater breadth and depth of training content.

Will I have access to the updated courses?
Yes, your subscription includes automatic updates as revised courses are available. There will be no “lapse” in access or any additional fee or action needed; the courses will just be the most updated version available at all times.

What is NOT included in this training program?
The training program content is comprised of good auction practices and potential auction team roles that are typical within the auction profession. The training program does NOT include company-specific preferences, roles, or policies, nor platform-specific training.

How long is each course? What if I don’t finish?
Each Auction Team Training Program course averages 20 minutes to complete. If you’re unable to finish a course all at once, your progress is saved and you can pick up where you left off the next time you login and access it.

Can I access the courses from my mobile device?
The entire Auction Team Training Program is accessible on mobile devices, though the learning experience is typically better when completed in an environment with limited distraction where you can focus your attention and efforts on the training. As with most things, you will get out of the training program what you put into it.

Are there any other resources available in the training?
Yes, some courses have external resources that are “attached” to the course to add to and enhance the learning experience. These resources are usually downloadable files or website links.

How were the training program and courses developed?
The NAA Education Institute Trustees invited a select group of subject matter experts - who have significant knowledge and experience in working as and training auction team members with various auction companies and involving various assets - to serve on the volunteer task force to develop the scope and content of the training program. The NAA Board of Directors also approved hiring the services of Blue Sky eLearn, the third-party who provides NAA’s learning management system (now known as The Auction Institute®), to utilize their expertise in online learning to manage the development and production of the on-demand program. Blue Sky eLearn staff, NAA education staff, and the volunteer task force created course content and activities through interviews, NAA  education, outlines, storyboards, and accuracy reviews.
