Description
The critical role of clinical supervision in both staff development and retention are well-documented. The disconnect between the need for clinical supervision and the consistent provision thereof in the field, however, is often attributable to common barriers experienced among service providers. This session will explore common challenges and points of resistance to the provision of consistent, effective supervision, principles for improving the delivery of needed supervision, and offer practical examples of the application of these principles in the field.

James Campbell, LPC, LAC, MAC, CAC II, has been working professionally in the human services field for over 24 years. His passion is helping individuals, families, and relationships to heal and assisting them in building on the strengths they possess. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addiction Counselor, a Master Addictions Counselor through NAADAC, and a Certified Addictions Counselor II through SCAADAC, and is a member of both NAADAC and the ACA. Campbell is the current President of SCAADAC. He is also the Founder of Family Excellence, Inc., the Director and Lead Trainer of Family Excellence Institute, LLC, the Training and Technical Manager for Southeast Addiction Technology Transfer Center, and a nationally recognized author and speaker.

She has served on numerous state and national committees and has presented both nationally and internationally. Some of her recent presentations include Introduction to Acceptance & Commitment Therapy for Clinical and Support Staff, Steps to Recovery in Levittown, PA, in 2017 and One Step Consultancy: Safe Guarding Children Conference at the Jamaica Conference Center in Jamaica in 2018 and 2019.

- Upon completing the webinar, you will have access to the CE quiz within the course you are taking. Find the CE quiz and click “purchase.” NAADAC members will be prompted to register for the CE quiz for free, while non-members will be prompted to pay a $15 processing fee to access the quiz.
- A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the CE quiz and access your CE certificate. You have 10 opportunities to pass the quiz. If you are unable to pass the quiz in the allocated number of tries, then you must retake the course.
- Upon passing the CE quiz, you will be required to complete the survey evaluation for the course. Once that is completed, your CE certificate will be immediately available to print.
