Description
This webinar will introduce practitioners to the Cognitive Restructuring (CR) for PTSD model and make the case for why this non-exposure-based PTSD treatment is well-suited for individuals with co-occurring PTSD and SUD. Practical skills of breathing retraining and the five steps of CR will be reviewed, with a specific emphasis on using these tools with individuals with co-occurring disorders.

- Provide a rationale for using non-exposure-based treatment strategies for individuals with co-occurring PTSD and SUD.
- Practice key counseling skills associated with the CR practice.
Presenters
Suzy Langevin, LICSW, LADC I
Suzy Langevin, LICSW, LADC I, is the Director of Dual Diagnosis Services at Open Sky Community Services and oversees the provision of integrated services for mental health and substance use disorders, including harm reduction, stage-wise treatment, SBIRT, Motivational Interviewing and Peer Recovery Coaching. She has presented nationally on the implementation of integrated treatment. Langevin is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). In 2016, she oversaw the development and opening of the outpatient division of Open Sky. In 2014, she was awarded the ABH Excellence in Outcomes Award as a member of the CR for PTSD group. Langevin has experience in juvenile justice, inpatient psychiatry, foster care, and emergency mental health.

Andrea Wolloff, MA, LMHC
Andrea Wolloff, MA, LMHC, is the Director of Evidence Based Practices at Open Sky Community Services. In her role, she implements and supports various evidence-based practices across the agency. Wolloff oversees the Cognitive Restructuring for PTSD team, training and supervising clinicians, including assessing fidelity. In 2014, Wolloff and her team were awarded the ABH’s Excellence in Outcomes award. Wolloff co-authored a research poster for these outcomes at the ABCT conference in 2018. She has additional intensive training in prolonged exposure and Trauma Focused CBT. As a trainer and consultant, Wolloff supports implementation of CBT for depression, anxiety, and psychosis, DBT, and Recovery Oriented CBT for Schizophrenia (CT-R).

- A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the CE quiz and access your CE certificate. You have 10 opportunities to pass the quiz. If you are unable to pass the quiz in the allocated number of tries, then you must retake the course.
- Upon passing the CE quiz, you will be required to complete the survey evaluation for the course. Once that is completed, your CE certificate will be immediately available to print.
