Description
In response to the nation’s opioid crisis, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) awarded a two-year grant to provide technical assistance (TA) to states and territories to the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) with a coalition of national professional organizations. These TA activities are designed to enhance the work of the Opioid State Targeted Response efforts already underway throughout the United States and territories. The State Targeted Response – Technical Assistance (STR-TA) Consortium utilizes local experts in prevention, treatment, and recovery to facilitate access to evidence-based resources. This webinar will provide an overview of the U.S. opioid crisis and technical assistance models. Participants will gain a complete understanding of technical assistance and how it can assist providers in addressing addiction related needs by utilizing community resources.

Holly Hagle, PhD
Holly Hagle, PhD, is a proven leader and educator with 14 years experience developing educational programming and curricula for traditional face-to-face and online education. Hagle, is the Co-Director of Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) Network Coordinating Office (NCO) and Co-Director of the ATTC STR-TA grant in the Collaborative to Advance Health Services at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. As the Principal Investigator and Co-Director on behalf of the ATTC Network for the Opioid STR-TA, Hagle oversees a four-million-dollar grant funded by SAMHSA. She has led several webinars on the topics of screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) implementation, both on clinical and policy topics, adolescent SBIRT, and utilizing evidence-based practices such as contingency management.

- Upon completing the webinar, you will have access to the CE quiz within the course you are taking. Find the CE quiz and click “purchase.” NAADAC members will be prompted to register for the CE quiz for free, while non-members will be prompted to pay a $15 processing fee to access the quiz.
- A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the CE quiz and access your CE certificate. You have 10 opportunities to pass the quiz. If you are unable to pass the quiz in the allocated number of tries, then you must retake the course.
- Upon passing the CE quiz, you will be required to complete the survey evaluation for the course. Once that is completed, your CE certificate will be immediately available to print.
