Description
Honoring Differences is a different approach to diversity. The approach is not to look for blame, but to explore the interconnectedness between people. If the system is out of harmony, it will cause problems among people. It also provides leaders with a means to more effectively work with different kinds of people. The concepts that help us to see differently are shared through the Teachings of the Medicine Wheel, which describe the principles, laws, and values that govern the universe. If we work in harmony with the universal system, diversity issues in communities will minimize. If we work out of harmony with the principle, we will have chaos.

The Principles and Concepts are harmony, balance, Seen and the Unseen World, Conflict as a Guidance System, Interconnectedness, Spirit and Intent, circles, cycles, the natural order, and the Four Laws of Change.
Learning Objectives
  • Participants will examine a set of principles, concepts, and values that enhance interpersonal relationships.
  • Participants will acquire knowledge on the principles of Servant Leadership: The Honor of One is the Honor of All.
