Description
Honoring Differences is a different approach to diversity. The approach is not to look for blame, but to explore the interconnectedness between people. If the system is out of harmony, it will cause problems among people. It also provides leaders with a means to more effectively work with different kinds of people. The concepts that help us to see differently are shared through the Teachings of the Medicine Wheel, which describe the principles, laws, and values that govern the universe. If we work in harmony with the universal system, diversity issues in communities will minimize. If we work out of harmony with the principle, we will have chaos.
The Principles and Concepts are harmony, balance, Seen and the Unseen World, Conflict as a Guidance System, Interconnectedness, Spirit and Intent, circles, cycles, the natural order, and the Four Laws of Change.

Learning Objectives
- Participants will examine a set of principles, concepts, and values that enhance interpersonal relationships.
- Participants will acquire knowledge on the principles of Servant Leadership: The Honor of One is the Honor of All.
- Participants will learn a new way of seeing and understanding reality from different perspectives and that the more differences, the greater the strength.
- Participants will examine the concept that there is only one race, the human race.

Don Coyhis
Don Coyhis is a member of the Mohican Nation who currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is the President of White Bison, Inc., an American Indian 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to creating and sustaining a grassroots Wellbriety Movement that provides culturally based healing to the next seven generations of Indigenous People. Through the leadership of White Bison, the Wellbriety Movement has taken a prominent role in the recovery of many Native Americans and their communities. Coyhis has published many Wellbriety books and resources. For over 30 years, he has been called upon to provide technical assistance by national policy organizations such as the White House Office of Drug Control Policy, SAMHSA, and other national recovery organizations to develop culturally-based prevention and recovery programs for Indigenous communities. He has also received many prestigious awards, including the 2009 Purpose Prize.

- Upon completing the webinar, you will have access to the CE quiz within the course you are taking. Find the CE quiz and click “purchase.” NAADAC members will be prompted to register for the CE quiz for free, while non-members will be prompted to pay a $20 processing fee to access the quiz.
- A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the CE quiz and access your CE certificate. You have 10 opportunities to pass the quiz. If you are unable to pass the quiz in the allocated number of tries, then you must retake the course.
- Upon passing the CE quiz, you will be required to complete the survey evaluation for the course. Once that is completed, your CE certificate will be immediately available to print.
