Introduction to Strategic Planning

This seven-module course introduces the strategic planning process and describes the six basic steps for completing the process with consideration to the unique environment of public health departments by offering tools, resources, and real public health examples and best practices. By the end of this course, participants are expected to be able to explain the strategic planning process, ensure the process is successful, identify tools to accomplish selected steps in the process, and describe how planners overcame barriers and roadblocks.
