Leveraging Partnerships with Disability Organizations

Program Description: The purpose of this training is to provide strategies to local health departments to leverage partnerships with local disability organizations to ensure programs within local public health meet the needs of people with disabilities.

Objectives:
By the end of this training, you will be able to:

  • Define disability inclusion and etiquette
  • Describe at least two engagement strategies you can utilize with local disability organizations
  • Describe at least two examples of how LHDs have partnered with disability organizations
  • Identify potential local disability partners.
