Effective delegation is critical to the success of every manager. By implementing key steps in the delegation process, managers can make sure that the task is clear, that employees understand the importance of the task, that they have enough information and skill to accomplish the task and that the manager is there to support them.At the conclusion of the module, participants will be able to:
- Describe the importance of delegation, when delegation is appropriate and what tasks may be delegated. Discuss the importance of style flexibility when leading people.
- Define a six step process for delegation that clarifies the manager's responsibilities for each step.
