As colleges and universities consider re-opening in the Fall, contemplating traditional in-person experiences and hybrid models, campus leaders are mindful of how the university can best carry out its mission while tending to the health and safety of the campus community. With mission and safety as guiding principles, campus leaders should also be attuned to the various risks and liabilities associated with re-opening campus, as well as various ways to manage exposure to risk.
Please join us for this important Briefing, in which two expert NACUA member practitioners will discuss:

  • A framework for assessing risk;
  • Application of that framework to specific health, safety, or other measures undertaken by the university;
  • legal defenses to liability, and
  • communications to the broader campus community.
In this Briefing, the presenters will not have time to cover all aspects of liability exposure and risk mitigation, so attendees are encouraged to read NACUA's May 27, 2020 NACUANOTE on Liability Considerations for Return to Campus in the Age of COVID -19 prior to listening to the briefing.

This 30-minute briefing will be audio-only and will be complimentary to NACUA members.
