BRIEFING: Decoding the Federal COVID-19 Workplace Safety Guidance for Federal Contractors

On Friday, September 24, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued comprehensive guidance, explaining the required workplace safety protocols for federal contractors under Biden’s Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. This includes the mandate that covered contractor employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, comply with masking and physical distancing guidelines, and that contractor designate individuals to coordinate workplace safety efforts. For campus counsel, questions abound regarding the applicability of the Executive Order to university personnel, and the reach of the attendant guidance. Please join us for a complimentary, 30-minute Briefing with NACUA member Bill Ferreira, partner at Hogan Lovells, who will walk us through the guidance and definitions, and what we can expect from federal agencies as they implement these provisions in the weeks ahead.
