This course is a high-level overview of the Federal Ethics for Tax Professionals, Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), and Circular 230. Much of the discussion will deal with Treasury Code and Circular 230. Covering the areas of Professional Practice rules and guidelines along with OPR disciplinary process and options. A brief review of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) data security plan. Then a review of cases of TaxPreparers that got into trouble.
