Course Description
The world of digital assets (formerly referred to as Crypto Currency by the IRS) changes every day. Get updated on the latest changes made in the past year in the digital asset space since NAEA hosted the Crypto Currency Certificate Program in 2022.

Haven’t taken the Crypto Currency Certificate? Not a problem, you can jump right into the update if you have a basic knowledge of what cryptocurrencies are and how they are taxed. If not, we suggest taking the on-demand program in advance of this update program.

  • Identify what cryptocurrency is and how it functions
  • Review pre-existing and recent IRS Guidance on digital assets
  • Review general cryptocurrency taxation
  • Be able to produce a completed 1040 from raw crypto data.

He has instructed on Cryptocurrency Taxation for the National Association of Enrolled Agents, The American Institute of Certified Tax Planners and many other organizations.

IRS Requirements for live webinars require at least 50 minute per hour attendance and answering 3 out of the 4 polling questions. For on-demand, you must watch the full video, answer the knowledge check, and pass the assessment with a score of 70% or above. No partial CE is offered.
