Course Description
The taxation of cryptocurrencies and digital assets can be challenging. This session intends to give you a high-level, non-technological understanding of cryptocurrency history and the taxation of cryptocurrency-related transactions. This session also covers current developments surrounding this topic, such as the inclusion of the digital assets question, how to successfully navigate through tax notices (CP2000, Letter 6173, Letter 6174 & Letter 6174-A), recent IRS guidance, and tax planning opportunities.

Christopher Lazzaro, CPA, MBA
Chris is the crypto tax analyst at CoinTracker, where he helps ensure the accuracy of the program. In addition to working with the engineers, he writes tax technical content for the blog and educates tax professionals on digital assets and how to use CoinTracker.
