Jared Ballew, Chair, Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee
The Internal Revenue Service’s Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC) released its annual report in June which contains recommendations to Congress and the IRS that focus on electronic tax administration and cybersecurity.

Jared Ballew, 2022-2023 ETAAC Chair, will discuss the Committee's recommendations including:
(1) dramatically improving services to help taxpayers meet their obligations and receive the tax incentives for which they are eligible
(2) quickly resolving taxpayer issues when they occur
(3) focusing expanded enforcement on taxpayers with complex tax filings and high-dollar noncompliance to address the tax gap
(4) delivering cutting-edge technology data and analytics to operate more effectively, and
(5) attracting and retaining a highly-skilled, diverse workforce to develop a culture better equipped to serve taxpayers.

Jared Ballew is a 20-year veteran of the tax industry, and currently serves as Vice President of Government and Industry Relations at Taxwell, serving both Drake Software and TaxAct. Ballew is an expert in liaising and building relationships with Federal and State governments, industry and professional associations, and other partners. He is the 2022-23 Chairman of the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee and also serves as the President of the National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP), a trade association of the top income tax, payroll, and information reporting software companies who collaborate to promote standardization and simplification between government tax agencies and the tax processing industry. Jared is a popular speaker and advisor due to his expansive knowledge of current tax policies, cybersecurity, and industry trends.
