Join NAEA’s EVP, Bob Kerr, EA, and NAEA’s long-time Legislative Counsel, Jeff Trinca, as they discuss legislative and Treasury/IRS actions in the first three weeks of the Coronavirus emergency. In an unscripted conversation, they will make a high-level assessment of Phase I, II, and III legislative responses, as well as signaling and guidance emerging from IRS and Treasury. They expect to discuss what we know and what we don’t know, and will leave time for some questions. We anticipate this will be the initial installment in an ongoing conversation.

Jeff Trinca, JD

Jeffery S. Trinca, JD, is NAEA’s legislative counsel and is one of the founding vice presidents of Van Scoyoc Associates, a Washington lobbying firm, where he has served as one of DC’s leading experts in tax administration for more than 20 years. Jeffrey’s expertise and counsel has served NAEA well, as he helped shape the organization’s efforts when working to codify the enrolled agent credential through the passage of the Enrolled Agents Credential Act, which was signed into law by former President Obama on December 18, 2015. Jeffrey holds a juris doctorate from The George Washington University National Law Center and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.

Bob Kerr, EA

Robert Kerr, EA is a former executive vice president of the National Association of Enrolled Agents. As EVP, he was a spokesman for the organization and the profession and is responsible for advancing the association's strategic goals: including growth, advocacy, recognition, and financial stability.

Prior to leading the organization, Bob served for 12 years as NAEA's senior director, Government Relations where he said grace over legislative and regulatory interests of enrolled agents and served as liaison to federal tax administrators.
