Course Description
As Professional Organizers, we are likely to see clients during our careers with mental and physical health conditions that make it more difficult for them to get organized than the average person. We’re going to talk about a few of these and some ways to work with them that may be a little unusual in order to get a better success rate with these populations.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this class, students will be able to…

  1. describe at least 5 mental health conditions that may impact a client's ability to get/stay organized.
  2. describe how physical conditions can affect a person’s behavior as well as their ability to organize.
  3. understand what issues the client may be experiencing and some possible ways to discuss it with them in a non-threatening way.
  4. know some techniques and technologies that may be able to assist their clients with these conditions
