CR 2-222 Organizing Dead People

Instructor: Judith Kolberg
Total time: 79 minutes
CEUs: 1.5
Conference Year: 2017

Course Description
Organizing Dead People sounds irreverent, but this is a workshop that honors clients who die by providing for the respectful and compassionate “de-acquisition” or organization of their possessions. It provides practical information for working with Executors and grieving family members who are overwhelmed by the amount and variety of “stuff” left behind by a person who excessively saves. You'll get a generic overview of the role of the Executor, what estate sales/liquidators do versus the services you can provide, and how to help an Executor separate the treasures from the trash and everything in between. If your client base includes leading-edge baby boomers, vet generation seniors, or the children who love them, this workshop is for you. We'll even discuss marketing ideas for this unique organizing service.

Learning Objectives
1. Discuss the different types of organizing services when it comes to the deceased.
2. Identify the prospects of organizing dead people.
3. Discuss marketing stratgeies for this organizing service.
