Course Description
Most people in the organizing industry are solopreneurs and many struggle to make sense of their books. QuickBooks is an accounting tool that, if used properly, can save lots of time, money and frustration, not only during tax time, but over the course of the year. This class will teach the fundamentals of QuickBooks that many users often miss if they just jump right in. It will also clarify, in plain English, what certain accounting terms mean and how they relate to what the solopreneur needs to do in the their books. It will cover basics such as the Chart of Accounts, the items/product/service list and tie everything back to the profit & loss and balance sheet. Participants will leave with a to-do list of things to change in their current QuickBooks file and a new schedule of when to accomplish certain bookkeeping tasks.
