Program Overview
Data is powerful-but only when that data is accurate. This educational activity will provide tips on how to collect accurate (clean) data; as well as how to spot potential errors and fix them after the data is collected. The activity applies to all-if you collect data on electronic health records or on paper.

As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:
  • Describe why data fidelity is important.
  • Analyze 2 potential barriers to obtaining data fidelity.
  • Identify 3 solutions for clean, accurate data.

Intended Audience

This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in learning how to collect accurate data, how to spot errors in the data and how to correct data errors in order to maintain data fidelity.

Step 2: Complete and view the full content of the program. Content items are indexed at the bottom of this screen. After you enroll, you will return to this screen. The first content item will be “unlocked” so that you can begin completing the course. Subsequent items will “unlock” as you complete previous items.
