Building and Leading Effective Coalitions for School Nurses

Program Overview
This interactive module explains the steps of building a coalition and the different types of members needed to be part of a successful coalition. Activities throughout the module provide practical examples to assist the learner in applying the information to real life school nurse issues in order to facilitate using the information in their own practice.

Learning Outcomes
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:
  • Develop a plan to build an effective coalition.
  • Identify 3 key players to include in an effective coalition.
  • Articulate 3 characteristics that an effective coalition should include.
Intended Audience
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.
