NASN Annual Conference Moderator Training

A required training program for all NASN Annual Conference moderators.  DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JUNE 23 2023

Upon successful completion of this training,
participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Moderator packets will be handed out at the NASN Board Meeting on June 28th.  Once complete, please return packets to the conference registration/attendee service desk.

Program Overview

NASN’s conference team has created a moderator training program to help assist volunteers/BOD members in gaining a clear understanding of the moderator role and NASN’s expectations of volunteers/BOD members. In this training program, trainees will be required to complete all activities in order to receive the certificate of completion

Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  1. Identify the skills needed to fulfill the role of a session moderator to facilitate conference sessions.
  2. Articulate the difference between moderating a general session and a regular conference breakout or workshop.
  3. Describe at least three components needed to be a successful moderator.
  4. Identify three expectations NASN has for all moderators at national events.

Intended Audience
NASN-elected Board of Directors (BOD) members assigned to moderating conference sessions.
