Program Overview
This educational activity is a guided panel discussion. It took place after a screening of the documentary Wrestling Ghosts and a short documentary debrief.

This activity will enable the learner to understand the generational impact of childhood adversity through a parent perspective and with a trauma-responsive lens. Building from the foundation of trauma-informed care to healing-centered engagement which covers the intersection of Adverse Community Environments and Adverse Childhood Experiences (also known as the “Pair of ACEs”). The learner will identify partnerships and collaborations that will assist with advocacy efforts to enhance and empower the school nurse’s role in student, family, and community health, wellness, and resilience.

As a content warning, the panel discusses various cases of childhood trauma.
