Program Overview
This is a one-hour e-learning continuing nursing education (CNE) program that engages, educates, and guides school nurses about evidence-based care for students with asthma at school utilizing NASN’s School Nurse Evidence-Based Clinical Guidelines: Asthma.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  • Identify the school nurse role in the care of students with asthma at school;
  • Apply evidence-based guidelines to care for students with asthma at school;
  • Collaborate with primary care providers in the care of students with asthma at school;
  • Collaborate with students, families, and other school personnel in the care of students with asthma at school; and
  • Utilize best practices, leadership, and advocacy skills to implement asthma-friendly schools.
Intended Audience
This continuing education program is a knowledge-based activity developed to meet the educational needs of registered nurses who are interested in child and adolescent health.

Step 3: Complete the posttest. Passing score is 75%. You may retake the posttest as many times as necessary to pass it.
