Program Overview
In this second video of a three-part series, the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Association of Camp Nurses host a Town Hall that digs deeper into strategies and actions for implementing CDC’s Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Schools. We invite state and local education and health leaders to join this interactive Town Hall that features an overview of the guidance by Neha Kanade Cramer, MPH, COVID-19 Response, Lead, Guidance and Technical Assistance | School Support Section and Tracey Gaslin, PhD, CRNI CPNP FNP-BC, Executive Director, Association of Camp Nursing followed by a question and answer session with panelists and attendees. Attendees have the opportunity to submit questions in advance of the Town Hall and are encouraged to review the CDC updated Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Schools and the updated CDC Science Brief: Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in K-12 Schools.

Learning Outcome
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners will be able to:
  • Incorporate science-based strategies in COVID-19 prevention plans for their school communities.
